A train ticket home from Birmingham, of all things Laughing

Got held up with some filming I got asked to do today, and ended up missing my booked train home Rolling Eyes
Never mind, they've said they'll refund it.

Not at all.

I actually got a questionnaire once from one of these casting companies, and it asked which level of rudeness you were prepared to go to for the sake of the film.
I was surprised at how prudish I ended up being Laughing

15 litres of deionised water for my triffid collection. They don't like tap water and it hasn't rained here since Noah was at sea so I can't collect water that way. Thankfully Amazon are doing 2.5 litre containers for £1.50 delivered so 6 of them. The buggers are really lapping it up. Those bugs must be dry to eat. Laughing

Them there meatophile plants like their feet moist, I understand.

I get enamoured of the moss growing in old yoghurt pots dotted around my side alley, and I try to bring it in and keep it growing, but it always gets moody and I've got to put them back outside to re-green.

I think they are the same about tap water: "Do Not Like!"

Good idea though! Might have to leave an old jug or something out there to collect rainwater.
Possibly for my orchids, of which I seem to have a growing collection ... Shifty

Fuck knows what goes into tap water nowadays. Do they still put fluoride in? I'm sure there's some sort of bug killer as well. No wonder some plants aren't keen.

Chlorine essentially bleach.
It will reduce a lot if you leave it in an open container ideally for a few days.
The amount they add varies depending on how much bug killing is required and it might build up to higher than normal levels in a pipe not run for a while.

A new Kawasaki Z900rs and 400 quids worth of cleaning and security stuff for it, for my old mate Dave.

He's been saving to treat himself and asked me to help out buying.

That should make retirement a bit more exciting lol.

Water is still fluoridated. They also add chloramine as a sterilising agent the same as swimming pools - if you smell chlorine then you know it's doing its job.

It's not chlorine and chlorine isn't bleach. That's sodium hypochlorite.

What they add is chloramine and that can produce a bleach like smell as a byproduct of it doing its job and neutralising contaminants.

I don't think you'd be too worried what it looks like when you're hanging on for dear life hoping it doesn't loop over the top Laughing
