Yeah I have one of those, the phone wobbling about does irk my eye when on the move but I guess that's it doing it's job.

I've not long shelled out significant wedge on a phone so I'd like to protect it from the vibes that could damage the camera as much as possible.
For the sake of a few quid I'd be more than irked if my phone karked it.

Yeah they're cheap enough to buy so why not?

Cup of tea at Loomies on the A272.
Well technically a mate got the round in, but it was a nice ride out and I haven't stopped there in years.
Watching bikes come and go it really is amazing the sheer range of stuff on the roads.

Sennheiser HD660S headphones.

Although the very moment I clicked on the buy button they anouced the HD660S2, I did not cancel my order as I specifically wanted lower impedance for use with my walkman (could also be used as a USB DAC) and digital piano without external amps. We're talking 150 ohm (S) vs. 300 ohm (S2) and even at 150 ohm the volume must be set far beyond 90% on my walkman for enjoyable music experience. I'm yet to test the headphones on my Roland FP30x digital piano.

Now, these are my first open back headphones after years of using exclusively closed back headphones (mainly from Sony) and I must say, the HD660S gives me a very different music experience, almost like listening to music through a pair of stereo speakers. You're not isolated from your surroundings and everything feels light. The mid-range with treble are both very impressive. Also, the vocals and instruments sound very nice. Acoustic guitars and pianos sound very life like. The bass is there, not too heavy, and I'm yet to hear any sound distortion. My previous headphones experience always involved teeth rattling bass, but as I get older I get tired of overbass-ed music and modern V shaped mixed CDs, but that's one for the rant section of this forum. *The Bass planet album from Dynamix II (electro full of bass) sounds amazing.

TL; DR: New headphones, a very nice listening experience in deed.

EDIT: I've just noticed, open back headphones are very glasses friendly, as you don't break any ''air seal'' by wearing glasses, all the air vents out anyway, unlike on closed back headphones.

Just bought the Sony WH-100xM5

I've found their noise cancelling works well with my tinittus

Anyhoo, also bought fancy shocks for the Softail Harley
And a BMW Z4 for the missus

I own the WH-1000XM4 and the noise canceling is amazing. I was very sceptical about it at first, but from the very first moment I was hooked. I let my brother to try them and in a week or so he bought the same model as well. The AptX HD and LDAC codes also sound much nicer than what I was used to back then in wireless audio (SBC/AAC). The touch controlls are perfect as well. I can say, without a doubt, one of the best portable (wireless) headphones that I've ever owned. Thumbs Up

Not as clean as the Sennheiser HD660S, but that's a completely different market and use case.

I also still own the MDR-EX450AP in ear headphones which are also quite nice. Great for traveling.

In a similar vein, after walking three and a half miles yesterday in my Asics gel trainers produced a blister on each
heel bad enough to mean I can't go out walking today. Crying or Very sad I've had a rethink and bought some fat old bastard trainers.
In order to give my feet some comfort and channel my inner Deadpool I ordered a pair of Skechers Go walk MAX EFFORT.
Hopefully they wont cheese grater my heels like the Asics have. Disappointed with the Asics Gel Venture 7 shoes,
they reviewed well as good distance walking trainers. Perhaps they are better suited to walking on trails rather than the
pavement pounding I'm after doing.

Funnily enough my mum recommended them to me this morning. I have a dozen arriving tomorrow. Bit on the pricey side
but I want to keep walking so they're worth the money.

I need to be able to crack out ten miles a day in about two and a half hours of brisk, purposeful walking without
annihilating my feet in the process. I hope they are up to it.

My last similar pair got me painlessly through a good couple of years of dog walking, etc.
I need decent arch support due to plantar fasciitis.
I'd imagine it depends on how you walk, I suppose if you have a tenancy to drag your feet etc, the soles will prematurely wear.

Well, I've just returned from a 3 mile walk in them (cos my blisters are still playing up a bit). Very light and comfortable,
nice and cool but honestly, pounding pavement in them I can't see them lasting more than about a month or two sole wise.

A pair of Knox Handroid MK4 Pod gloves in black/tan.

Let's see whether they're as good as the claims. I seem to go through gloves pretty quickly so I'm hoping they hold up better than my current pair.
