A Wispa bar.
In fact, a duo Wispa bar, so I could have half then and half later.

But as I had also bought a can of Red Bull and two packets of macaroni cheese and didn't want to buy a 5p bag, I put the Wispa in my back pocket and carried my purchases to the car.

Several hours later, and a long way from home, I remembered about the duo Wispa bar.

I couldn't find it in my handbag, then I remembered the sequence of events when I had bought it...
I once woke up in a tent in the early hours of the morning and suddenly remembered I had put a bar of dairy milk in the top pocket of my shirt, which I was still wearing. It had become totally liquid but still sealed inside its foil wrapper. I placed it carefully on the floor of the tent, it was a very strange shape but solid again by morning.

A 5mm Carbide tipped drill bit, cuts through case hardened output shafts like a hot knife through butter. Very Happy

I can now stand in the diesel infested bilged of my boat while fixing the fuel pipes in place and not leave diesel footprints on the cabin carpet after going back in there when I have finished working.

Exciting times what!

From where I sit electric cars & bikes are the future. The thing is money is needed to make mainstream affordable vehicles a reality. So I see this purchase as a bit of a GoFundMe but instead of a vapourware product I get a bit of development hardware to play with.

I just throw these in a carrier bag and dispose. No cleaning like I would have to with wellies. Thumbs Up

Plus they are cheap, 50 pairs for £3.99 from screwfix. How much are wellies now?

There are cheaper options Whistle.

Ok, not quite the same stats, but you can fold it up and put it in your car/office/flat.
And yes, it is fully road legal.

Electric vehicles are for the most part very simple.
Battery, motor and controller.
There's no doubt some things to be done with the motor and controller, but batteries are the limiting factor.
They use the same batteries used in many other things. Without them there's still a massive drive for 'the next big thing' in batteries - a lot of devices are limited by battery specs.

Regenerative braking, aerodynamics, optimising the drives train have significant impacts on cost, though mostly upwards from the Zero platform, & vehicle range but have yet to really be explored in the electric motorbike format.

It's worth noting that the Result Twizzy is about £3000 less than the cheapest Zero, the bike I'll be getting, and that's a car with nearly the same charge capacity as the Zero FX ZF6.5.

All factors also being used in ICE vehicles too. (Pretty sure some non-hybrid ICE cars use regen systems to help keep the battery topped up for start-stop applications.)

M.C.:
The one is about 25mph. With the current motor it would probably manage about 30mph with different gearing and you should be able to swap the motor out for one that would do maybe 40-45mph if wanted.
However, diddy wheels and a bit of chassis flex as the whole thing folds up, I'm not sure you'd want to!
(I got it mostly for the lithium battery which it came with - didn't pay much more than the price of the batteries alone. I will use the batteries elsewhere and may the motor+controller too... but do fancy get it insured for the 'lulz'.)

Six M-M-M-Morleys BBQ chicken wings.
Snorted 'em whilst sitting in traffic on the way home.

Pengest munch.

Luckily I have hand-gel in my car, so I could clean up my fingers, yes and my face, I got BBQ sauce everywhere.

Those are some sticky-mofo-wings. Cool

Hammerite and sugar soap.

I have now washed down the front railings on the house, and applied Kurust. Tomorrow the Hammerite goes on.

It better not rain.
