Years tax for the bike.
Also, Insurance for the bike, increased from £90 to £120 for the renewal. Did the comparison thing and got it at £90 (same insurer), and added breakdown cover to it.

Raspberry Pi 3 kit (Pi3, case, SDHC card, heatsink and a power supply).

I got 2k CZK, basically for nothing (helped a mate with something), so I decided to waste the money on my own piece of Pi, to make a streaming device for my living room Tv.

Paid: 1800CZK / £60 (incl. shipping)

* The rest of the 2k CZK went for fixing 2 punctured tyres on my Pimp mobile. The car just loves prickly things.

Timber and associated hardware to make the side gate a double opener. This will make it possible to get the car out of sight and make servicing it safer.

Dinner out at the Bonzo Lounge in Keynsham with the lovely Mrs grr. She had chicken and avocado salad with
sweet potato fries + large glass of Sauvignon blanc, I had a double pattie Lounge burger with fries, plus streaky bacon,
cheddar and a fried egg as extra toppings. served with coleslaw, onion rings and a pint of Becks Vier. £36 the lot.
Got the onion rings for free due to misunderstanding at the till. It was a nice spot, I shall deffo go back again, it was
very busy but we lucked it and a table emptied just as we walked up to the bar.

A camera bag, for my camera.
Just a cheapie from amazon but it's surprisingly well put together and sturdy.
Should last forever as I don't actually use the camera that often but I thought I really should make the effort to protect it on the odd occasion I do take it out and about.

A Lenovo P2 phone after my Wileyfox Swift stopped transmitting 3/4g.

So far incredibly impressed, battery seems amazing (no surprises there) and it feels really fast and smooth (it's all relative).

I rarely spend much on phones these days as I avoid contracts like the plague. The muppets who buy iphones on contracts (i.e finance) blows my mind.

They can sometimes make a bit of financial sense, if you get a good enough deal. What I don't understand is people who take contracts out on cheap handsets, where a payg/monthly deal (and buying the handset) works out massively cheaper.

Yeah I am sure that is the case if you really want the latest phone etc, but the prospect of spending effectively £500-700 on a mobile phone doesn't sit right with me at all, even if it is financed on a monthly bill.

I think I just disagree that you need to be on a mobile contract these days.

I do the simple option of buying a handset and using pay as you go bundles that last 30days at a time. Suits me to the ground, the years of pay monthly contracts are thankfully behind me.
