Not today but a few days ago I bought myself some proper running trainers that fit me correctly. I had my gait analysed and everything. I also got a new running jacket to keep me toasty when it gets cold. Nice!

good plan, though just watch out for body hurting elsewhere, as a result it will pass

it's like little niggles you never noticed, suddenly get focussed on due to gait being corrected

I haven't run since Oct, been keeping in shape, physio says I can run, but then got chest infection, will go a for a little jog early new years day, to enjoy the peace and quiet

Yeah, I'm hoping that this time around I don't injure myself again! I know I have knee problems now but I have joined a beginning running club again so we will be doing interval training to start with (1 minute run, 1 minute fast walk, repeat etc).

I'm looking forward to the first session Thumbs Up

Games with Gold sale on, you say?

Go on then....

Lara Croft and The Temple of Osiris for about £2
Me and the mrs play the original one on the 360, and it is good, hard puzzling fun. This is harder than the other one, but looks better.

Cuphead £14
Beautiful looking game that comes across like a 1930's cartoon. Puzzle/action/platformer thing. Awesome soundtrack and insanely hard.

Fifa 18
I bought this just for The Journey, after completing the first part on Fifa 17. I don't think that the gameplay or graphics have really moved on, but it isn't a bad game, but it did reinforce the reason why i don't buy FIFA games brand new.

Oh, and a 2003 Corsa. I've had some real issues getting to work over the Christmas and New Year periods, so I've bought myself an early birthday present. A 2003 5 door Corsa. Nothing fancy and just for a backup, but I do like it Smile

Done a bit of a spending spree.

Bought a draper expert set of allen bits and drives
Set of flexible head, ratchet spanners
some long spanners (to help me get onto the allen bits where a ratchet wont fit)
And I've crumbled, I've bought the COD 4 remaster for PS4.
Oh and alternator belts for the car ... yes, plural.

A spot in a storage facility for the 911 whilst we have some work done on the house (garage needs to be clear as will probably have to let builders enter via the back door Shifty ).

Catalogued and photographed on entry, dehumidified secure facility, regularly exercised around the yard, parked on carpet, drip trays, batter tenders, car covers, the lot.

It's like sending your pet away on a luxury retreat to a posh kennels Shocked Laughing

Three "herb" grinders.

Cos I wanted to see if they grind ACTUAL herbs, basil, thyme or sage, etc., and I still haven't got round to getting another one of those nice marble pestle and mortars. My kitchen spice rack looks very questionable, full of odd jars of this and that. If the police had cause to raid my house (which they haven't) they'd probably look at my spice rack with grave suspicion, but in fact its mostly big jars of sage, rosemary, bay leaves (no, really) and other assorted mad-looking herbs given to me by various people.

My ex gave me a massive bag of mixed, well, junk, really: bits of herbs he's collected, onion skins, juniper berries, orange peels, dried out garlic cloves*, chillies, etc, all dried out in a massive tray he has in his kitchen, he calls it his "pork rub" (no tittering at the back!) which he sprinkles over roasting meat and veg.
(he's Italian, he has an excuse)

So now I've had it for a year and hardly done anything with it cos it looks all like bits of sticks and paper husks etc., so as they have dried out even more in my kitchen, I thought I might grind them properly fine, maybe mix it with (for example) freshly grated parmesan, and start coating everything in it Cool Thumbs Up

*not that garlic has much of an opportunity to dry out in his place, he uses it all the time, whereas since no longer living with him, I use a lot less than I did, and am lazy now and have moved on to "lazy" garlic granules, paste etc.

I'd offer my services pro bono in this case, as long as you don't note the mileage before leaving the vehicle with me Wink

The funny thing is no one used to park there* (as it's dodgy) before they introduced permit parking on the street, but now everyone enjoys their tax payer subsidised parking space Wub

*except stolen vehicles and people living out of cars
