7 nights in Malta in early September.

Been many years since I've had a proper summer holiday!

I really like these interviews to engineers of a company.

I bet that's an insightful read. Cool

I have bought strings. They're all nice and slinky and don't squeak too much.
Had to give the fretboard a once over or two.

Two down since lunchtime.

I bought another bluetooth speaker because I discovered a cool dual connection function on my phone.
Found a cheap (£15) KS+ speaker on FB marketplace.
Really good sound when both speakers are fired up. Thumbs Up

Wasn't broken just making a racket and it's my nice anonymous looking weed pick up vehicle so I like to keep it

Have you considered keeping fish in it instead?

Brake caliper refurb kit, and new pads arrived.
After riding another cbr600f I've realised my front brake is not as sharp as it used to be.

Eminently remapable, may already have been done. Around 360bhp, 700Nm is possible.
They'll give almost anything a trouncing on the motorway.

I got 400nm and 210bhp out of a 1.9tdi. I'd love to map a big luxo barge like that just because but I doubt I'll ever buy diesel again.

Unfortunately they came from the out-side.
I obviously didn't fill their water bowls up in the winter, and when the water froze they bit through under the ice!!
Just getting around to re-sorting the whole garden.

No doubt they can chomp their way through this too, but will be an easier fix if they do.

An Einhell hedge trimmer, £30 from Wickes. Doing a lovely (and quick) job on the evergreen shrubs. I feel like an artist.

New daily hack car

https://i.postimg.cc/phGD9qH2/s-l1600.jpg

2005 Hyundai Accent 1.6 auto - bit of an educated gamble, we don't do much other than routine servicing on our customer's Hyundais and I can't find many people on the net with a bad word to say about them, plus my ex's dad had the previous model and, at the time of our parting, had done over 200K and had hardly spent a penny on it, other than stuff that would've worn out on every other car at that mileage.

This is a mint, top of the range (so it's got all the toys, including working A/C) example with 40K on the clock, full service history and drives beautifully - cost 800 quid, so could be a stunning bangernomic, time will tell

A cheap and cheerful bluetooth rechargeable soundbar. Going sort of "camping" next weekend. Worth a squirt for a score.

Bought a pair of Adidas trainers of FB marketplace. Pretty new condition, the bloke ordered them, tried them on and decided they weren't for him. I think they're £40 new.
£15, 10 houses away. Laughing

Valve shims, even though they will result in slightly wide clearances. Grey hairs coming along too fast to worry about a couple hundredths of a millimetre.
