When a single man I used to live on Fray Bentos. My particular favourite was a 4-serving steak and kidney done in the microwave on a 'jus' of baked beans, with a large glob of ketchup on top. Batchelor heaven!!!

I'm on a quest at my local Tesco. The meal deal is £3 and so far I've got the bill up to £6.05 before the discount. If I can get it up to £7 I'll be a legend in my own lunchtime Laughing

We are now officially hoarders.

Are the bags of postcrete locked in your garage so as to prevent them being stolen by drunk people?

Adding postcrete to balloons that already have glitter in just a bit cruel.

Bowtex kevlar leggings, standard yellow. Returned. Sad Twice. Sad

Generally "Large" will fit me for legs (33 waist, 32 leg), and I even have a few pairs of Ronhill tracksters in medium that fit (they have quite a bit of stretch in them). I cannot wear anything remotely skinny fit due to actually having legs rather than matchsticks as lower limbs.

So I ordered the Bowtex in large. I started having concerns when I struggled to get them past my calf muscles..... just got them over my thighs and fully on, with no armour in them. I couldn't move.
Hmm. Length seemed good though.

Returned them and ordered the XL, received them today and er... well I can get them on my legs and half way up my torso, while the crotch is still several inches below my nuts. The knee armour pocket is part way up my thigh. wtf is going on with these. They're baggy round my arse, but snug around the thighs.
I tried them with armour and immediately noticed that the knee pockets are pretty small and that's the 100% kevlar part (the bulk of the legging is 50% kevlar weave). The hip armour pocket is also small, but the kevlar is coverage is one continuous piece all around the arse, so that's decent.
They are not comfortable for me due very little stretch in them and they just don't fit my body. The fabric is soft though, although a thicker "jersey" type than I was expecting. If I was a skinny fit jean wearer maybe they'd be all good, although the knee armour and crotch placement still doesn't make any sense to me and the armour pockets are too small for the armour I've already got.

I was pretty keen on these as the thought of leggings that I could wear under normal trousers and then remove and stash on arrival was win. These definitely aren't the answer, so I'm looking at Hood jeans. Anyone with decent sized thighs got them? They appear to be regular cut.......

A TomTom Rider 550 for the grand sum of £4.97, including postages, yes, less than a fiver !! Saw it as it just got advertised on ebay, froma store, not a private seller. Fully expecting the sale to be cancelled, but, fair play to the store, gave me good feedback, and sent it out Thumbs Up Laughing

Snap. 2 packs of 4 rolls. Ordered from Wilko about a week ago along with 5 bottles of hand wash. I'm surprised they let me have 5 bottles tbh but then I suppose it was ordered before the rationing.
I'm not overly fussed about the hand wash myself but its fairly important my daughter has it due to her medication affecting her immune system.

Wilkinsons, Trowbridge.

But stock is coming back to other shops, there's only so much idiots can buy toilet paper, there are limits to how much might be necessary. Thumbs Up

Not the much required loo roll (sadly there was none), I managed to get some frozen peas, some fresh broccoli stems and some frozen mussels.

Thankfully as I'm not exerting as much energy as I usually would, I can quite easily survive on homemade soup, crackers and cups of tea.

Sadly, because I am sat at home, I do not have the 'willpower' not to eat the snacks and biscuits and goodies I bought for the week...so those stocks are depeleting rather rapidly. Shocked
