Cunting hell fire. Did I read that price correctly?

I was taught to sharpen drill bits by hand as part of my apprenticeship.
I can safely say I'd rather spend a day learning than spent money on that.

I woulda thought that ya just chuck away a drill bit when its gone blunt, and buy a new sharp one?
I'm working on the same principle as how Stanley blades come in a nice convenient wodge of multi-sharpness, and you just snap off a fresh one when you need.

Obviously not the same principle with drill bits then?
I totally have no clue.

Seriously you guys, you need to cast about amongst your single mates and find me a new bloke, someone properly worthy (obviously), none of your substandard nonsensical types. I fear I will not survive without someone who knows about shit like this.

I managed to discourage my neighbour from cutting down her smoke alarm last night (!!) so I do know *some* stuff, but really ... ? Drill bits? I keep one in a convenient place to use as a "defensive weapon", but that's about my limit. There are probably loads of them scattered about in the tool box which is now chockablock with all kinds of shit, I know not what.

That's mostly man-stuff and I am too long in the tooth to start learning about it now.

You sharpen drill bits ... who knew!
*wanders off to make some hot cocoa and see if that helps*

That's fair enough - you've been professionally trained Thumbs Up

I paid less than the site list price for it and I do have a fair number of bits that need freshening up. It'll sharpen masonry bits as well as the usual HSS and it'll even do split tip, cobalt and TiN bits. It's quick, accurate and easy which suits my purposes Smile

New dress.
Summery hellkat!

I'm hoping its one of those ones you can scrunch up in a rucksack and it still looks okay when you shake it out and put it on after getting off the bike.

Its definitely a "wash and drip dry" sort of thing, so is perfect for summer weather. Not that there looks to be any rallies to go to Rolling Eyes

Come on, Nobster.
I ride a Harley and I am fat.
If I rode it naked, it would be indecent.

Bought yet another cctv camera.

This one can (supposedly) identify people and vehicles so should give less false detections due to clouds and shadows etc.

You just have to know how to defuse them.

Today I have mostly been getting excited that the local chicken shop is open again.

10 spicy wings! No chips, no drink, just gimme the spicy wings.
The cats had to help me eat them.

Wings - why?

There's hardly any meat on a wing.

There's only me.
I can eat what *I* want.
And I wanted wings.

In fact, what I really wanted was Morleys BBQ wings but I can't really ask the taxi driver to stop while I pick up some Morleys on the way home. Once the bike is back in legal condition I can stop there myself at the Morleys just beside Bricklayers Arms on the way home.

Plan was to use the remaining ones to make chicken stock for some chicken and mushroom risotto tomorrow but ... oh well.

At least now the local chicken shop is open again, I can go and buy more if I need them for stock Laughing
