350ci Buick.
It's in the middle of the worst production era though (1979/80) so it has dirt compression(probably 8.5/1), production heads and manifold so the flow is likely poor, and there is( was) various stuff on it for EPA mandation etc. I would say the compression is the major contributor. I get better mpg using e10 over standard stuff. Plus of course it has air con, power steering pump, (as well as originally the smog pump), ontop of clutch fan. Don't forget the wastage in the gearbox. I am lucky enough to have a lock up torque converter, but only in top (3rd gear) and only at +40mph, but otherwise it's standard slush.
Basic improvments and replacement higher compression would gain quite a bit of power. ____________________ CBT: 12/06/10, Theory: 22/09/10, Module 1: 09/11/10, Module 2: 19/01/11

I've just ordered one of these off of eBay - it'll be interesting to see how effective my inline water filter is |

You should do a time portal post in this thread about when you bought it. |
Bought in '16 with original 23k miles.
I've put on 11k miles since, but at the cost of £3.5k towards petrol...

Picked up some wall hanger hooks to make a display in my office.
Australian 1943 No1 Mk3 Lee Enfield (.303 British)
Canadian 1886 MK IV Martini Henry (577-450 Boxer)
British Pattern 1861 Naval Rifle (.577 Minié ball)
Unfortunately 577-450 rounds are like hens teeth, I did managed to pick up four WW1 vintage rounds for $14CAD (8 pounds) each though shooting them safely is quite questionable.

The internal mounting bracket/mic/speaker thingy to fit the Sena to the aperture on my lid arrived.
I've read reviews berating the speaker sound quality, specifically the lack of bass but I adjusted the equaliser settings on my phone and found the lower tones to be more than adequate given the speaker dimensions.
Its damn loud too!

Got my van serviced yesterday and the split turbo pipe replaced. My friend did the labour for free so parts/sundries only.
OEM turbo pipe £58
Oil plus oil/air/fuel and pollen filters (All Bosch) £77
Going to rebook appointment for it's remap which couldn't happen until the boost pipe had been changed.
Still, the vans pulling like a train again now even before the remap is done, I am looking forward to an extra 40 ponies.
Which is good news considering I managed to do this to it a few weeks ago.
Cambelt. water pump and upgraded turbo next. ____________________ Currently enjoying products from Ford, Mazda and Yamaha

Is that the last year of the gen 1 model? 2007ish or has it had a paint job? The only year that Suzuki dropped the classic Busa 2 tone paint job was the final year of gen 1 production.
Get an timing retard eliminator to get even more ponies out of it as it's electronically castrated by Suzuki out of the crate.
I fitted this to mine
