I've had to go and spend forty quid on stuff, most of which I probably won't eat.

My sister in law is coming to visit, and she's not only vegetarian, she's also of a middle-eastern slant, having lived for years in Jerusalem.

So although we can easily knock up some Italian vegetarian things between us - obviously that's her main heritage, and she does a mean spaghetti alla puttanesca Wub

... but I got lost somewhere between the aisles and ended up with all manner of spicy vegetarian things. Luckily Waitrose were having a Levantine gourmet section this week, so I really only had to struggle with the concept of delicious-looking seedy pitta bread (which I will try not to eat) and exotic assortments of tropical fruit.

Thank goodness I wasn't buying liquor Shocked

Is that the last year of the gen 1 model? 2007ish or has it had a paint job? The only year that Suzuki dropped the classic Busa 2 tone paint job was the final year of gen 1 production.

Get an timing retard eliminator to get even more ponies out of it as it's electronically castrated by Suzuki out of the crate.

I fitted this to mine

Rear sets did wonders for my knees as well.

Yep 2007 model gen 1. It has a Power Commander (self tuning). New brake calipers, with HPC pads, and braided hoses. It also has heated bars and a gear position indicator.

Also just bought this to go with it.

Online: A kintsugi kit to repair a broken casserole dish-lid Cool
Then I can just hang it on the kitchen wall as a bit of dishevelled art. Laughing

IRL: Milk, yoghurt, binliners, bit more mundane

Gates "Powergrip" Cambelt and water pump kit £70.69
It's a 10 year interval on Transit Connect and mines due soon and it's going in for it's remap on Friday so I'd like it done ASAP.

FAI Sump pan and gasket. £49.71
Replaced the sump a couple of years ago with a really crap aftermarket one which has now sprung a
leak, this one is a better quality item. (OEM price from Ford was £250+ Shocked )

Metal rear bumper main section. £38.99
The OEM one has developed rust after nearly 10 years of use, I did consider having it powdercoated but this is
less hassle and I want it done the same time as my favourite items from this little spend up.

Complete flange Towbar kit in Black powdercoat including electrics. £135.00

Bypass adaptor for electrics. £20.00

Once these are on I can start my hunt for a bike trailer. Dance!

Emma Original mattress.

Mattress supplied with flat is a new but old fashioned steel sprung affair, which is wildly bouncy, but at the same time hard, like trying to sleep on a cobbled street, which is constantly moving underneath you.

Was turned on to the Emma as I scrolled through the TV channels and watched a couple of minutes of Ideal World - they've got a 40% off the mattress deal going on.

Checked the reviews, everyone loves them, but as I'm a hot sleeper (ooh err missus) a mattress protector was recommended.

Checked online for discount codes, got 42% off the whole purchase - happy man Very Happy

Panda Bamboo bed sheets. Started with pillow cases but ended up with a full set.

Cool nights sleep no matter how hot.

Yes - we've bought two full sets of them and it's excellent. It's a bit of a knob to iron / dry the first few times but as far as cool nights sleep goes, it's excellent.

And a three phase metal bandsaw from a closed down foundry, it is massive and we don't have three phase but can be worked around apparently.

I actually picked up a carton of that exact same gold-top milk when I was in Waitrose last week.
I put it down again, telling myself that I did not yet deserve such a treat, having had an overly-carby week in general.
Once I'm back on the proper diet trail, I'll treat myself to a bottle
