I bought a couple of bits for my beloved 1 series which will be going up for sale soon. I don't want people to low ball me because of silly things that I could easily fix. I think I'll be sad to see it go.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

An endoscope.

I had one that plugged into my phone but have lost it somewhere. I've been trying to get by with an inspection mirror but hate the damn thing so I bought one off Amazon with its own screen for £11.11p. Yep an endoscope with a 1080 colour screen with record and photo facilities for under £12. I thought it will probably be crap but I'll give it a go for that money. It's fucking brilliant. Yes, Chineseium but wtf. Now just to see how long it lasts.

I was after some new summer gloves and a friend recommended Alpine Stars. As I was passing J&S I thought I might try some on... very nice Smile
Then I found another pair that fitted *perfectly* and they turned out to be their cheap John Frank Thomas brand... even better Very Happy
Given this is the UK I doubt they'll see much wear Rolling Eyes

The other problem with the string: the plugs tend to stick out a bit from the ol' ear'oles which was fine till I added Bluetooth to my helmet.

We are provided with 3M foam plugs at work. I rarely use those as I have fitted plugs.

If I do use earplugs, I always remove the fecking string.
The string always manages to garrot me or worse, it transmits noise to the plugs and inside my Heid. Mad

Specsavers will laser measure your lug wholes for Proper earplugs. Made of acrylic (colour choices) and fitted with attenuated filters. I have a set for the road and a set for at work. Different noises.

It seems extravagant to some, but all pros involved in pro noise stuff wear pro hearing protection. It's fucking nuts to wear body armour and not wear hearing protection too. For certain, you will damage your hearing on a bike at 60mph but it's rare that you'll fall off and skin yer knees. (BTW, would that count as Taking the knee? )

I use them all day long.

I said, I use them all day long.

New foot pegs for the VStrom. I don't need them, but after so much huffing and puffing about changing the bike, there's nothing I really like that's worth shelling out for. So farking the current bike it is!

Screeching Motorrad und Zweiradwerk in the appropriate accent would be very dramatic. Muttering "Motorcycle and Bicycle Works" is not Laughing

They are a treat because I was working abroad for a year. I can't really ramble on about the technicalities like they can on head-fi.

Safe to say they are phenomenal. My collection so far has some high end models, 64audio tia fourte, UM MEST, KSE1200, bunch of stax gear etc and they all compromise in some way. The Odins do not. The bass is unlike anything I ever heard, so quick yet so deep. I am still in the honeymoon phase though. Laughing

I got them 2nd hand because.... Well you know why.

I am due to go and demo the Legend X at some point but I suspect they won't be worth having as well as the Odins.
