Prescott's Microbiology (ISE Edition)
Janeway's Immunobiology
Brock Biology of Microorganisms (Global Edition)
Lehninger Principles of Biochemistry (Seventh Edition)

Not exactly page turners, but still very interesting.

IRL: Jump leads and a box of spare indicators for the Snarley.
Also, a lightbulb for the hallway and moar catfood (despite Lawrence killing and eating a pigeon in the hallway last night).

Online: a Neverland motorcycle raincover because the one on the GSX shredded itself this weekend and I have made a temporary arrangement with a large bit of folded tarp. Its arriving tomorrow, hopefully the tarp wont flap undone by then Laughing

Oh yeah, and an assortment of cheap girlie jewellery from Claire's Accessories (but no unicorn-related items)

Still looking at cowboy boots, but have got a bit fatter lately so I don't deserve them yet, fatty boomstick. Need slimmer legs for cowboy boots, Jen.

No not really, A Japanese hatchback. 18 plate so quite new. Really excellent level of equipment and I like the fact that
the main central display is the rev counter with a small digital speedo in the corner. I'm travelling down to the South East to go
and see it on Thursday, assuming it's what I'm after then the main dealer offers a free delivery service so I can have it brought
to me in Bristol rather than having to travel down a second time on the train to collect it. I also get to visit me mum who lives
half hour away from the dealer, I've not seen her all year so that will be nice even if I get my refundable deposit returned. If I
do buy it, it will be booked up for a remap as soon as I have the keys. The deposit is purely to hold it until I can get there to
see it. With that particular interior, it's hens teeth rare so I don't want to miss out because someone else beat me to it.

That doesn't narrow it down much. Central rev display?

FK2/FK8 Type R?

Yeh,did look but can't get one newer than a 12 plate, too old. Will have to make up for it by ordering a brand new MT10.

There is much to be said for 'beige' transport! That's a compliment on the choice though, they ate excellent cars. Well specced and a really nice thing to be in.

Never bought a pair of specs online before but after my 2 daughters recommended goggles4u I thought I'd give them a go.
Less than £40 for bifocals won't break the bank if they're poo, I'll just use them for work.

Looks like I've bought it. Drove down to Maidstone to look at it yesterday and take it for a run. Couple of small issues,
steering wheel doesn't sit straight and the tracking is out plus there's a small dink in the paint on the rear bumper.
Both are being sorted and it will be delivered to me in Bristol on Tuesday. Now I have to go through the mind numbing
task of finding some insurance.

Spent some time this morning having a mooch around for insurance, went with Esure, £252 full comp, windscreen cover,
protected no claims and a partridge in a pear tree. Happy enough with that, it's a fiver a week give or take. I can't wait to
go to work and tell the 18 year old young lad who was crowing about his BMW 1 series being "only four grand a year to insure"
what I'm paying to insure my Spazda. Laughing Laughing Laughing

IRL I bought some spicy-wing chicken bones for Dennis to have for dinner.
Its just that I have to eat [most of] the meat off them *first* - before she gets to crunch them.

And online I bought some more incense. Thumbs Up

Furygan Heat Blizzard battery-powered heated gloves. Expensive but I deserve them, and I can recall a few rides in the last few years where my hands were so cold I was losing clutch feel in particular. I have a pair of Keis heated glove inners from way back but they had no controls and were so tight under outer gloves they burned the backs of my hands. I didn’t like being tethered to the bike battery either. I haven’t tested the Furygans out and about yet but aboard the sofa they seem promising. Bluetooth enabled too, which may prove to be a gimmick. We’ll see this Winter.

Been thinking lately about getting my nails done again, so this morning on the way back from dropping the Snarley off for its annual fettle, I stopped at the chinesey ladies' (under new management by the look of it) ... and am back to having pointy red nails again. Yay.

A few bits for the new ride.

A set of Genuine Mazda interior mats. Last owner had some crappy cheapo ones in there. They had to go!
A full set of Genuine Mazda Wiper blades, they are a really nice design (I know... Laughing ) so I couldn't bear to
put aftermarket Bosch ones on there as much as I rate them. The ones on the car are 3 years old, I always
renew wiper blades annually even on my van, besides I have an Aquapel treatment to apply to the car before
winter comes and old wiper blades won't do that any favours.
I noticed a missing grommet for the parcel shelf string on the left to attach to, so I ordered one of those.
Finally a rubber fitted boot liner, another Mazda OEM item but will fit the car perfectly.
