Today I did buy a Drenham Acolyte 17’ carbon rod, and a ABU 507 closed faced reel to go with it.
Oooi! What a bit of kit .
Lot’s of fkin money and my savings took a whack!

However, happy Pepperami is happy , in fact , VERY happy .

As long as it doesn’t rain to hard, I’m going out to try it out tomorrow.


EDIT: I took them out for a trial today (16th).
They worked really well .
Caught half a dozen small fish and a 3-1/2 pound bream
A hard day made a little bit easier by what I bought

Audio cables.

My preferred brand Proel have become difficult to source. They're nothing special. *Audio cable talk is not only highly contentious but extremely boring.

I don't have the time to make up all my own (saying that I have made guitar cables...and Jack-RCA...(told you it was boring)).

PD Connex 3.5mm stereo-Twin 6.5mm mono.

Like them. Plenty of girth, protection at the point where they often fail and tough casing. They fit well too.

I also bought a digital Mellotron with the proceeds from selling my soul....plus a few bits n bobs.
