Johnny 5 MOCs are pretty cool, I'm impressed. Mr. Green

It's the amount of detail and moving parts in construction builds that makes them interesting, Big Red is a good one.

But your mum jokes? Really? They're so old, cheap and used by everybody. Much like your mother.

8x GU10

Innr brand so a bit cheaper than Philips but still £11 each!

Tis a racket for suckers like me.

Mate I just bought a single Phillips Hue GU10 and it was £50... fucking broke my heart.

Presumably colour?

Innr do a twin pack of colour GU10 for about £47 and they work well with Hue (I've got a mix of Hue and Innr lamps in my setup).

Yeah it was the colour one. I need it to be Phillips specifically so it syncs with the ambilight feature of my TV. Fantastically atmospheric and immersive but utterly over priced!

All terrain crane is fun ( last years Xmas build) this year doing the Land Rover Discovery. Half the piece count but more enjoyable.

How long have you been referring to your right hand as 'my wife'?

If he says 'never' then you'll know he's left handed.

Erm.

I've got three kids with the woman that I've been with for the last 20 years.

People on here have met her.

All you've proved on here is that you have no teeth and find walls strangely attractive.

today I have mostly been shopping at Asda and bought:

* a set of saucepans because I burnt all but one of the others. Only cheapies, they'll do 'til I burn them out as well.

* some picture frames for my Marlon Brando/Mutiny on the bounty and Michael Caine/Italian Job stills Wub

* a diary, for taking my meeting-minutes into, although I have another plan for the minute-taking involving different-coloured A4 sized notebooks for the different sub-committees. I'm thinking of having unicorn notebooks for the Chief Executive's meetings, just to annoy him Laughing

* some sparkly pens for wherever my new office is going to be. I was thinking about venturing into coloured inks in a fit of ditzy girlishness, rather like my heroine Dr Suzy Lishman (former Chair of the Royal College of Pathologists) who writes in her notebook in HOT PINK biro WubWub But for now I will stick to glitzy biros in blue or black ink.

I'm thinking about a calendar but I couldn't find an appropriate one that doesn't look TOO outrageous.
I may have to stick to a fancy food calendar.
Or dogs.
Or possibly NZ flora and fauna.
Ho hum

Oh yes, and two spatchcock chickens in "indian flavour" (i.e., curried) for £1.73 each, got to love the post-Christmas food bargains section.

And a bulb of fennel, most which is roasting with one of the chickens as I speak.

Don't know where the fennel fetish has come from, been thinking about fennel for a couple of weeks now.

Oh yes, and an Intruder, 650cc I think. Thinking
Well, its not for myself (just yet)

I lent a friend some money to buy himself an Intruder Laughing
We agreed that until he pays me ... if he dies, I take the bike.
I must go round and speak of this whilst his Mrs is listening, just in case he pegs it and there is any uncertainty Laughing

Edit: I got him to sign and date the page in my diary where we itemised all the money I have lent him.

I'm not always Mrs Nice. Sometimes I'm Mrs Scrooge McDuck. Laughing

Rolling Eyes

Might've accidentally bought some absolutely pointless "storage" boxes from Flying Tiger, because they were cheap and shaped like shiny red lovehearts. Laughing
But one is just the right size for my cheap girly-earring collection.
(actually I bought two, cos I am sure I need the other one to put all my make-up in)

Also some nice black picnic basket style boxes which are perfect for my girly-gloves and necklace collection.

And, erm, some notebooks for writing in.
One is A4 and has the elemental table printed on the front of it (helium, sodium, etc).
I bought two of those.
And two A5 ones with turquoise sparkly covers.
And, erm, two more A5 ones with dark grey sparkly covers.

Its possible I have a notebook addiction ... Shifty

But I will NEED them, as I will be taking A LOT of notes in my new job Laughing
And I don't want to use boring NHS stationery.
