I have a deactivated 1945 Soviet Tokarev TT-33 (old spec deactivated, can be stripped and dry fired, cycles inert rounds etc). Back at in the UK which l acquired over 15 years ago. I think l paid 300 gbp back then.

Does anyone have any idea on the value of older spec deactivated pistols? As l am looking to sell it next time I’m in the UK, google search seems to show a massive range of prices up to 800 gbp which seems quite extreme and all are the newer spec which the action is welded up.

Legally you cannot sell it, transfer it, etc if it's not re-deactivated to the newest spec.

I used to collect deactivated guns years ago but the law was changed after the killing of Lee Rigby because the cunts who murdered him used a modified deactivated revolver (that blew up in their hand).

I sold off my collection before the change in the law came in.

EDIT:

If you want to legally sell it then you will need to submit it to either Birmingham or London Proof House for it to be deactivated and welded enclosed then certified as deactivated because they law currently considers your old-spec to be a live firearm.

You also have to register with the Home Office that you hold/ possess a deactivated firearm now when you previously didn't. You are actually committing an offence right now as the deadline to do so has already passed:

Judging by the changes in legislation made in the last ten or so years related to deactivated firearms, I'd probably chuck the thing in the river.

Notifying possession or transfer

Should an owner subsequently wish to sell or transfer their deactivated firearm, the Home Office would need to be notified about the transaction. Details on how to notify possession or transfer of deactivated firearms is contained in Home Office Circular 010/2019: Firearms Regulations 2019 and the Firearms (Amendment) (No.2) Rules 2019.

Forms are available to notify possession, or transfer, of a deactivated firearm. Send completed forms to our dedicated inbox: deactivatedfirearmsnotifications@homeoffice.gov.uk.

Perfect, thank you for the info.

That's really shitty on the law change.

I dare you to phone your local 101 and ask the nice lady for advice.

I think if it's 'real' firearm, fucked up or not, the polis might be twitchy about it.

But let us know what the polis say.

Edit.

As fat angry Scotsman said. More or less.

They are no longer attractive souvenirs due to the attention they receive.
Deactivated fire arms are still dangerous.
Wave it around when a firearms officer has a bead on your bonce and yer toast will be buttered.
Just sayin'

I legally own both a fully functional Beretta 92FS plus a Smith & Wesson M&P 45 2.0 pistols here in Canada (Grandfathered in before cock sucker Trudeaus ban).

It's only a financial loss that l should have sold a long time ago before immigrating.
