Go and ask your local bike shop, they'll let you know how long it takes to get and how to put it in. Thumbs Up

You also can get them colour matched, so it'll match your bike if you want one. Very Happy Very Happy Ask them if they can get these if you're interested. Cool

This is not 100% true, don't blame me for any reaction byt the bike shop when you ask them.

my advice to you is to learn how a engine works and its parts, the power band is were in the revs the bike gains the most grunt of acceration and power, l call it the "whooo factor"

"l need a new power band" l hear that a lot from ped bois

yo, this dude a ped boi!! My nrg was so pants when i dropped my powerband going over a speed hump. Usually for 2 strokes, the powerband is very narrow hence why bikes like Mito has 7 gears. The grunt kicks in after 8000 revs which will not do your clutch any justice by slipping it to get to those sorts of engine speeds... hence why I'M DESPERATELY trying to find a CBR 125 or XR or even NSR in London

Of course you could use a powerband on your nsr, just they're a bit pricey.

The Navy/Airforce use them all the time on aircraft carriers, gets things off the line incredibly quickly.

I'd suggest you get a powerband installed near your fave set of traffic lights and show the novab*ys a thing or two.

Find a good one and your bike'll fly. Wink

You can make a powerband quite easily...

Take the top of your engine off with a big screwdriver thats too big. Get 3 rubber bands, one thin, one medium and one thick. Take the piston out, its called a piston because it pisses a ton of petrol away.

Now, wrap the bands around the piston and also, it helps to but a bundle of metal filings inside of the bore (its called this because its the most boring part of the engine, just a hole), this is called "n0s"

Now, hammer the piston back in with a hammer. The top of the engine might not go on, but no worries. The engine doesn't need compression now you have 'powerbands' ok. If you still feel a bit worried just use a bit of string to tie it back on.

Hope this helps. Good luck mate.

Seems like a classic problem. Did you leave it out in the rain?

If so, you may have water in your exhaust pipe. There is only one way to get rid of this. Exhaust pipes look like they come off with bolts but they are actually not bolts, they are hexagonal welds. You will need a hacksaw to get your exhaust off.

Remove the whole system. Now, to get the water out, you can stuff a towel down there (if you do, leave it there, it soaks up fumes and makes your bike go faster), or you can hang it on the washing line (put some nuts in it, use it as a tempory bird feeder or something). If you have a tumble dryer, whack it in there, and make sure you pour a bottle of 2 stroke in as well to lubricate the exhaust, this is one of the most complex parts of a bike and must be well oiled.

Once you have done this go back to your bike and use a couple of zip ties to put the exhaust on, zipties are the strongest material known to man apart from spider web.

Now your water free exhaust (possibly towel stuffed) should improve performance and allow your bike to run freely.

If you have any other problems let me know, I'm more than glad to help.

We're only entertaining ourselves, its nothing personal seriously. If we make jokes about things here it doesn't mean we dont all have maximum respect for eachother, after all, we're bikers.

Just try not to ask directly about things that you may be uncertain about. Just do a little research beforehand etc.
Very Happy

Did it not suggest that other answers to questions in this thread or even whole forum if that's the way you were thinking about here, might not be 100% truthful or reliable? Confused

No seriously, its just a slip up on your behalf, you probably just misunderstood what a powervalve is and asked about one. Not your fault at all, I'm sorry, just dont take anything to heart mate. No hard feelings...?

Everyone here knows what a powerband is and I know fully well that you can actually get aftermarket ones which work and will perform really well. Just didn't want you to really know as I want to be faster than everyone I can be.

Powervalves are another thing. Get rid of the stupid things as they slow you down. You just need to remove the thing so it doesn't limit the power as without it in there it is on full power all the time instead of just part of the time. amateurs!!
