Calling all Maths guru's. Working out slope on Beams?

Hi all,

Recently been getting stuck into one of my latest assignments and it's fair to say I'm dying a slow painful death.

On this one, I've actually got myself halfway and am stuck on a last hurdle. It may well be something simple to someone in the know.

Basically, we did an experimental 'lab' about beams and their deflection.

Here is an image of what we did:

So first we had to work out the 'deflection'

Which I used equation (2) off this sheet and put in the numbers.

That worked out fine after a bit of messing about:

Now on the 'slope' page is where I'm stuck, we have our 'slope' values from the experiment and we now need to 'Calculate slope'

It does not refer to an equation to use, (from that sheet up above) and this is the only page we have with it. I have tried the bottom two equations but am having no luck at all getting a number that looks anything like the results, e.g 1.5 degrees.

If anyone's got any idea I would greatly appreciate it!

Edit: Unsure if I'm getting confused with the dy/dx buisness. Don't really know what that means.
