Nope.

I have sheeps arse hair: long, thick, curly and entirely unmanageable (usually without the "dags", I hasten to add).

But I refuse to tame it cos I've been told it looks cool flying out under my helmet. Constantly battling to stop it becoming dreadlocks Smile

I understand some girls swear by lots of conditioner and keeping it in plaits.

That Fructis serum in the round green bottle is about the best thing I have found to sort my mop out.

My girlfriend has long hair - just ties is up when she's on the bike. Seems to sort the problem.

Cheers Hellkat Thumbs Up

My problem is mine is curly (verging on frizzy) but I wear it straight and sleek all the time, and when I take my helmet off the top half is verging on frizziness!!

Will try that fructis serum though!! Thumbs Up

How long is long? Girls with really long hair - half way down back - don't appear to have problem (well to me anyway). Those with it about shoulder length can look a bit crumpled.

Hmmmmmmmm, High Maintenance, F.A.

Mine's WAY longer, but I tend to stick to Scruff and Go, anyway Smile

Not "allowed" to cut mine off, either, LOL. I suggested hacking it back to shoulderblade level once (about where yours appears to be), and was met with a resounding "No!" from several rather gruff quarters at once Shocked

My beard goes forked in the wind. I don't attempt to do anything to prevent this as it looks the business. I can carry off the wind knots Cool

jup, put on a neck warmer over the hair, then put on your helmet follwed by jacket/leathers. your hair will be in its normal position only under all your clothing. that way it wont blow everywhere or get squashed into a messed up position.

I normally tie it back and use a couple of hair bands down the length of the hair and use a scarf to keep it under the helmet and in the jacket. Oh, and when I put my helmet on, try to slide in on 'backwards' to smooth the top of your hair down - it's a technique you'll get the hang of Wink

That was when it was long and straight. Now it's fluffy and short and curly, I don't really worry as it looks a mess all the time, the additional helmet head creation just adds to the "dragged through a hedge backwards" effect. Very Happy

My hair is about the same length as yours FA, it can be a nightmare. My advice is to ALWAYS have a hair tie with you, always tie your hair back and tuck it into your jacket as best you can.

I once left mine out (but still tied back)....NEVER again! I am prone to tangles and that involved ripping some hair out.

unfortunately there is no glamourous way of having nice hair and being a biker. That TV advert for shampoo pisses me off where that woman pulls her lid off and reveals beautiful shiny bouncy hair underneath - impossible!!

Plait(s) all the way for me.

However, I have yet to find a problem for "flat-greasy-fringe" syndrome, especially when it's warm & sweat is added to the occasion!

So basically as enjoying riding my bike is WAY more important to me than what my hair looks like, I don't worry about it!

Very Happy

I know, what is that advert all about!!!! Laughing Laughing

I think I'll listen to all the tips and make use of my many colourful bandana's and forget the idea of having nice straight hair while on my bike!!! Crying or Very sad

I often wondered if men use conditioner on their beards, until a friend of mine once admitted to trying my *expensive* conditioner Shocked (its all hair, I suppose)

... although I drew the line at offering him my Fructis serum, cos its FAR too expensive to be wasting on the likes of him.

Plus, I might have got my ears boxed for laughing.

When I started riding I had a shaved head. I grew it back this year but it's doing my head in and is getting cut progressively shorter, having hair and a helmet (no pun intended) is no fun at all!
