Picked up "my first big bike" tonight in readiness for when I pass my tests Confused
It's a kawasaki versys Mk2 2011 in black, it's done a few miles but I got it cheap and it seems to be in good condition. For a first bike( that I may drop, I have history lol) I think it will be ok.
Heated grips too, they are bloody great Very Happy

I'm getting more and more frustrated when people post up pics of bikes they've just bought. I WANT ANOTHER BIKE! But the Street Triple idea of mine seems to have gone on hold for a bit. I keep thinking, well, I'm not riding the bike I have got much at the moment, mostly cos winter, so why buy now just to have it stuck in the garage for a few months? Yes, very frustrating Brick Wall

Congrats on yours though, time to get the ACF50 out!

See https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?p=3953645#3953645 - time from original post to actual video, page 21 (from goto10 to goto21) is the name change too...

and also...

https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=297979 - we expect this one to result in a name change on page 32 (goto21 to goto32)...

keep up Wink

I can vouch for this, but then I barely understand what I'm on about half the time.

I want a bike Sad Really been missing riding the last (6? Shocked) months.

Don't think my wrists are gonna be up to riding the MT-03 anytime soon, so I'm gonna look out for any winter bargains and probably flog it.

Having to basically start again in terms of insurance so it'll probably have to be a 250-400... or an ER5/Bandit Crying or Very sad

A 70/30 case didn't affect my insurance all that much if I recall correctly. And that was Broxbourne, on the edge of London. Have you tried a few quotes on anything you'd prefer?

Nice looking bike, I prefer the look of them with the Kawasaki (givi) Panniers
on them as well though, gives them a bit more presence IMO.
Like this one
https://storage.kawasaki.eu/public/kawasaki.eu/en-EU/model/Versys-650-2013-side-SE-WHT-white.png
I'm starting to wish I'd bought a Versys as a first bike.
Even at a meagre 5'11 with a 32" inside leg I've found the ER6 a bit cramped.
No matter, I'll get something different next season.
