Hello,
The RR is definately the best bike that I have ever ridden. But going from a Blade to the RR meant that I missed the rush of acceleration, so I downgeared it (1 down, 2 up). Was planning to downgear it further, but obviously some car driver had different ideas...although I am gradually collecting bits to put it back together...but I'm not looking forward to flushing out the 5 month old petrol...
With the Yoshi race exhaust, the sound from the top end was awesome, and that just made the whole experience better. I also found that the race can added extra pokiness in the mid-range, as they do...
The first thing that I noticed was how small the bike felt (admittedly when compared to ye olde Blade, which has a very wide tank), but that made it all the more nimbler. It's very easy to flick over and change direction, and yet stable on the straights. There's plenty enough power for the road (and track, I guess), and the thing that I loved most was the amazing brakes.
Alas, I have never ridden an R6, so cannot compare them.
HTH anyway. ____________________ TiN

Thanks Tin, that was v helpful
A few people seem to think its about the same performance as the R6 so I really need to either test ride one or find someone who's had/got/ridden both but either way you've helped a lot ____________________ Current Toys: 06 Yamaha WR250F | Nissan 350Z GT | Tech 4 Homes |

I found alex's R6 (lukes now i think) to be a better bike that the cbr6rr, basically because the cbr is too small for me to ride comfortably but also because the R6 moved around a lot more under me...and i like that feeling personally, the cbr 600 has a fantastic chassis....but i found it kinda boring, the same with the lump... with out doubt it fast but theres no "wow" factor with the acceleration, the power is so smooth you don't get a sudden explosion of power.
Last but no least the cbr6RR seems to have absolutely no bottom end....... possibly due to the tuning so the R6 comes out on top there also for me .
The cbr is fast but not that much faster than older 600's old ninja keeps up with my friends well enough when it comes to roll ons etc...... but on corners he kills me
That honda feels like its running on rails, inspires so much confidence, and with more ground clearance than most people will ever use its easily the best handling bike i've ever been on....and those brakes are a danger to all men, male riders should be issued a box by honda
