heated grip wiring

Hi All,

As some of you know, I installed a heat grip on my r6 .

I did wire it using a relay, getting the switch on wire from my flashers to the relay.

I did also wire a cigarette charger to the heated grip as didn't want to run the cabling all the way to the battery .

The charger is fused on positive side which connects to the heated grip wiring .

the heated grip is again fused at 5 amps .

the positive from battery to relay is also fused at 5 amp .

When I did plug in my air pump to it , it did blow the fuse. So I up rated the heated grip fuse to 10amp . it did work but soon blew the positive to relay at 5 amp.

I change it all to 10 amp so I have two 10 amp and one circular fuse from cigarette lighter( not sure of the rating but should be above 10).

Am I causing any issues by changing the 5 amp from the manufacture recommended setting to 10amp ? any fire hazard ?
