I've got a stop/indicator repeater* that mounts on the back of my helmet; takes a couple of AAAs; signal comes wirelessly from a tiny box wired into the brake and turn light wires. Easy enough to mod into something like this if you wanted.

*From DX.com, other cheapy Chinese websites available.
