Yes folks its that time of year again when we say goodbye to one year and start another. Along with the wishing of happiness it is a requirement for some people to make these resolution things saying they will give up something they enjoy for a year or do something radical.

Have you made one this year? What is it?

For me, I've put on the pounds since I stopped smoking a few years go and I am now starting to struggle to get into large jackets etc. I'll be losing my gut and reducing my waist size. I've noticed that as I have expanded the manufacturers of these bike wear garments assume that my arms are longer too. I now find myself wearing jackets that swamp my arms but are tight around my stomach. I'm not a fkin baboon, I just look like one.

So gut is going.

Nope. Nothing wrong with this 'me'...apart from being described as 'old and mental' by a dear friend... Razz I'm gonna stick at being who I want to be and what I want to do and that's that. Thumbs Up

Its been a strange year for me and just found out over Xmas I may have Hodgkin's lymphoma so its kinda put a dampner on new year. On the upside I met a really nice girl so good and bad in 2014.
My new year resolution is to remain upbeat..
Hope everyone else has a good one

I am 57. I will ride my lardy tourer for another year.

Shagging at my age has to be reserved for something special. As I was not on Clanger (with the 35' inside leg) list of BCF lovers, I shall save myself for dribbling over

I don't bother with New Year's Resolutions as such, as no one ever keeps them. Instead I have written down a number of goals that I want to achieve before the end of this year. I tried this before a couple of years ago and a got about half of them done. This time I will try for all of them.

Goals:

1. Own and insure two current bikes. (CB-1 and NTV650)
2. Play Rollercoaster Tycoon 4 and Cities Skylines.
3. ... Um ... That should do for now... don't want to overwork myself.

New year resolutions are a fucking fad. Lame excuse to sort yourself out just because it's a certain date. Either do it or don't do it.

New year, same me.

I've worked quite hard for this present me to be as kick ass as it is, so wouldn't really want to change anything about it. Cool

I had a wicked 2014, it's the year I finally got my shit together and grew up a lot more than the other years of this decade. Got a job I like, did my bike tests and got a big bike (and didn't kill myself or break bones in the process), more settled home life and got my drinking habits and short temper (the two are related) under control to name a handful.

As for New Year's Resolutions, this time around I say bollocks to that. I was gonna try to give up smoking again as I pledged to last year but as it's one of my few remaining bad habits I haven't made any and don't plan to either. My goals would be clearing some of the credit I used to buy nice things I wanted for years but couldn't afford until I had a stable job and recording another album of original songs with a few of my best mates who are also musicians. They're both about half doable.

Get back into shape and continue expanding my property empire by buying a 4th
one. Also (after selling all my other vehicles) to get more bikes.
Want a sportbike and a tourer. It's a good year to die.

Like going out at the top of your game, or it just feels right to go out this year? Eh?

Hmm don't really do this but 3 things come to mind;

1. Pay off student loan (overpaid me finish paying off in march)
2. Pass driving test
3. Go somewhere nice, have a holiday. (First real one since 2012)

Pretty simple really.

Ah I was wondering when someone would dredge that thread up. Wink

While I'll be the first to admit he does know a fair bit more about that sort of thing than me, I've always found him to be kinda rude about it and not just to me, either - i.e. if you're not doing it his way then it's the wrong way despite everyone having different needs from their setups. AFAIK I'm on his ignore list now so it doesn't really matter.
