Any one know where to buy pure Nitro (not blended) in the UK at a reasonable cost?

I don't, but you may need a licence:

Last fuel I bought was from Andy Robinson of Robinson Race cars. Was a while ago but they are still going. If they don't have it I'm sure they will know who does.

The model car fuels have a blend of a few things. You can get 10/20/25/30% nitro content and it is mixed with castor oil and a percentage of other ingredients.

Cant see why it wouldn't work for what you want, but it is rather expensive, which is one of the reasons I stopped messing with Nitro R/C stuff. Laughing

Where have the days gone where you bought a bottle of pure nitromethane and some oil and mixed your own fuel ??? Worked out a lot cheaper than the pre-mix stuff - that was for Rc cars though...

Google Model technics fuel. They used to sell neat nitro, don't know if they still do, or ask your model shop to order you a bottle ortwo on their next fuel order. Or just buy a 10% model fuel ready to use!

I have very little to add, so here, have a bit of Vin Diesel on nitrometh (well, not actually on nitrometh, just talking about it)...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0hObkoimmk (work safe, 'cept a bit of bad language)

Also, those EU regs state anything over 25% needs a licence... Modelsport.co.uk sell 30% nitro fuel, no mention of needing a licence.

It would be a compromise, as I now run a 1000 main jet the 2T oil will not cause lean running and upper cylinder lubrication is not a bad thing.
