I haven't been on my kx in a few months and I think the Carburettor's got a bit gummed up! The bike runs but is boggy and doesn't like it when i take it to the power-band, it splutters and bogs, The piston was changed 6 months ago and has had about 20 hours since so shouldn't be anything to do with that!
I don't really wan't to take my carburettor all apart to clean it, As I'm lazy, I had heard that sea foam is good to clean carburettor's with when you don't want to remove them from the bike!
I have a bottle just sitting doing nothing!

Question is, Shall I mix it with my fuel or shall I drain my float bowl, then put some sea foam down the fuel line and let it sit in my carburettor for a day, Then re-drain it & Put fresh fuel in?
I don't think its that gummed up compared to some threads i have read, That's why I don't want to strip it!
Thanks - Ralph!

I don't know what sea foam is but I have some Holts carb cleaner stuff and the instructions on the can say to just spray it into the carb inlets with the engine running.

I've not used the stuff in bikes but have used it in my truck where it did a fairly good job of cleaning the injectors.

Instructions for use in 2 strokes from their website:

To clean the carburetor bowl and jets:

Add 2 oz. of Sea Foam Motor Treatment to each gallon of gas oil mix. Sea Foam Motor Treatment will slowly re-liquefy old fuel and petroleum varnish residue deposits, clearing passages and restoring normal functionality. If you wish to spray atomized Sea Foam Motor Treatment directly into the carburetor throat with the engine warm and running, use Sea Foam Spray Top Engine Cleaner and Lube (Sea Foam Motor Treatment in an aerosol can).
