So here's the latest bike my brother has built.....
His last bike got nicked, so he wanted to make something so weird/ugly hopefully to reduce nickability when he lock it up around town (as opposed to his race-bikes that don't leave his sight outside the house, literally).
Didn't really cost him anything as he works at a 2nd hand bike charity shop place, and gets to call shotgun on any good parts that come in.

The two bits of 2"x1", along with duck-tape, are there to give the casual observer the impression that the frame has snapped, and been splinted with wood.
Then the handlebars got chopped down to roughly the width of drop bars, mtb cow-horns installed and trigger-shift/brake levers installed on them. Bar tape was then liberally applied
Apparently it's quite nice to ride, even with the comedy-length seat tube. |

Oh Jobe... Always a cretin. ____________________ Blue_SV650S wrote: it was a sh1te wheelie, but it proves that he can get it up in 3rd and can do angles. In summery, mattsprattuk is a gobby little sh1tebag, dopehead tw4t, but sadly for all of us, he probably isn't THAT full of sh1te!!

It's hideous
I keep meaning to get a bike like this for the summer beer garden stints with my mates but I always get carried away. I'll just make the back brake decent for wheelies, I have this hydraulic disc lying around... I'll make it a single speed to save hassle, I just have this nice single speed conversion kit lying around... These tyres are shot, I just have some nice chunky off road tyres in the back of my cellar... etc etc.
I reckon even my lake jump bike which has all my reject parts is still nicer than a lot of the junk that is chained to railings in Berlin. Bike crime is massive here though. If you leave anything even remotely functional unlocked and out of sight it will be stolen to be sold in one of the many many flea markets around here to a tourist for €50. There are plenty of second hand bike shops here (there are 10 bike shops that I'm aware of within 5 minutes of me) to distribute parts from nicer bikes to as well so none of my bikes leave my sight either. ____________________ Now: '00 Kawasaki ZRX1100R - Past: '84 Yamaha DT125, '89 Kawasaki KLR600, '97 Yamaha XJ600N
