Hello!

I've got a new (too me) bike, a yamaha yl2c trailmaster, no idea when it was last started and I'm trying to get it going again, unfortunately the kickstarter pin has been ground back/bodged, so I'm having trouble fitting a lever onto the pin but it has an electric starter, put a new battery in and it lights up and turns over but it doesnt seem like it turning over fast enough, sounds like a steam engine! there is a spark, I need to check compression, fuel is getting to carb but the float is inaccessible without dismantling a heap of stuff (I will if I need to)

Any advice on how to get her going would be much appreciated!

seeing as its got leccy start, try cleaning up the starter motor.
likely its gummed up/partially seized.
they can be stripped down & refurbished.
though i'd be bump starting it 1st.

dyna start on this?? pre fizzy looking.....basis for the fizzy??

find it on cmsnl for the exploded views.........carb is easy to get to, unless the cover screws are seized etc........

to clean carb, start at the fuel filler cap. any squatters in the air filter?? blocked exhaust??

use test tank to run engine after removing plug, and killing ign, and adding some light oil into the engine to lub it before starting........be prepared for cleaning toe plug due to oiling up.......put in geaq and push till added oil is outish of the engine.

how is gear box oil and much crap in fuel tap sediment trap?

how is 2t oil tank and pump??
