Shocked last of the big spenders!

OP I have to wonder though... you have a thread in New bikers declaring the bike rubbish as it's broken. You say you have had it a year using it for a 60 mile round trip to work. That adds to a lot of miles...... yet this question suggests you have never changed the oil...............

and you wonder why its broke

Nope never, the only time I know it's been changed is when it's been in for service and my last service was at 8000km, bikes currently at 11k and not due next one till 12k.

I am just such a noob when it comes down to bikes, only needed it for the commute

Halford oil cost about £8 a litre. That's all you will probably need. If changing filter you may need more. Better to buy 2 litres and have too much rather than too little!

I looked at one of them at the shop where my sis works before I did my cbt, but they had a daelim daystar 125 fi come in a couple of days later that was 6 mths old that I could have for a good price and was a better bike. I am a total noob when it comes to bikes but not cars , so I did loads of research on how to look after one and not rely on dealer service intervals before I bought it. Sounds to me that you not mechanically minded. If so I'd say get a car that can take more abuse without checking things or learn about how bikes work and how to look after them.
