HI.....
Right, I have this CG125, new, yes...done 220 miles on it so far.....

WHEN should I change the oil and HOW do I do it ???
(We haven't got that far in lessons yet!)

Do I need to do it...or should I wait until it has it's service at 500 miles in a couple of weeks ???

Thanks in advance !!

Wait till the service is my guess.

Easy to change, warm bike till engine is hot, remove sump plug, drain old oil into container, replace washer on sump plug, screw back in then fill with fresh oil.

Thanks!

I guess if I knew what a 'sump plug' was it would be easy! Laughing

Its a plug underneither the engine, which when undone lets all the oil out. With your level of mechanical knowlege its best that you leave it alone and get the oil changed at its next service

If the bike is brand new, shouldn't the garage where you bought it from be doing the servicing, well the initial service, for free?
