Not sure if posted already, taken from TT Fan Page.

Don't miss a great documentary scheduled for BBC 2 this Sunday at 9pm on one of the TT legends - John Surtees also featuring John McGuinness..... Details below.

The Isle of Man TT races is set to feature prominently in the final part of BBC’s three part Racing Legends Series, which is a tribute to 6 time TT Race winner John Surtees.

The show is screened this Sunday 11th January at 9pm (GMT) on BBC2. Other racing legends to have featured in the series include Graham Hill, Colin McRae, Barry Sheene, Sir Stirling Moss and Sir Jackie Stewart.

In the final episode of the series, Paul Hollywood meets one of his heroes: John Surtees, the only man to win World Championships with both bike and car. To get an insight into the life and times of one of Britain’s greatest living sportsmen, Hollywood takes to the track and the Isle of Man circuit to recreate some of Surtees finest races. He learns how Surtees went from humble beginnings to working for the aristocrats of Italian racing; Ferrari and MV Agusta.

Now in his eightieth year, John Surtees looks back on a life, filled with danger, glamour and intrigue. It is a life that has seen both triumph and devastating personal tragedy. With contributions from Surtees’ wife and daughters as well as rivals and commentators, the programme gives an intimate and enthralling portrait of a complex man who survived and succeeded in an era when death and injury were an ever-present danger in racing.

The tribute, supported by the Isle of Man Government Department of Economic Development Motorsport team, was filmed in September of this year and includes insights from 21-time TT Race winner John McGuinness as he introduces Paul Hollywood to the iconic Isle of Man Mountain Course.

Thanks for the heads up. Thumbs Up

I watched the Barry Sheene one the other week and enjoyed it. Looking forward to this one too but, I'm really missing riding around the TT course and watching this will no doubt make me miss it even more by the sounds of it. Sad

Just finished watching - what a bloke!

Never really heard much about him before, not having a great interest in motorsport, but truly deserving of the title 'Legend'.

Found the last part quite moving, but won't go into details in case anyone is yet to watch it on iPlayer.

Refreshing and very interesting..

Liked Paul Hollywood before I knew he was a biker on the bake off programme. Seems like a nice chap unlike a lot of these TV biker types (henry from the motorbike show)

The old prancing horse didn't come out of that very well, in fact they appeared to be a right bunch of wankahs!
It also illustrates one of the fundamental differences between 2 & 4 wheeled sport, way too much politics and stage management from the the 4 wheelers, which is still going on today!

Was it me or did the MV and Ferrari guys looked straight out of the Godfather! Mr Surtees didn't say what happened when he drove 700 miles and marched into Enzo's office to "have a word". I'm guessing the conversation involved a horses head.

Incredible story, fascinating times. Gorgeous sounds.

Initially I though Paul's interview technique of "wow, wow, this is incredible, this is amazing" was terrible. But quickly realised he was just a genuine fan who's brain turned to mush due to excitement. Think I enjoyed the program even more because of it.

I hadn't really seen Paul Hollywood as I don't watch TV much (not cooking shows anyway) - so googled him and found this DM article mainly trying to make out he's fat or something Laughing
What a lot of nasty comments after though.
