Honestly some people should never be allowed tools.
I bought this bike which is like a rolling cliche of poor-taste mods. Cheap hard-plastic Chinese mirrors with indicators built-in that explode at the slightest touch. Poxy blue LED back-light bulbs for the clocks that are too dim to see the dials. Tiny numberplate, noisy viper can, yellow rim tape, default iridium screen (actually the only semi-quality bit that's non standard) and don't even ask about the tape-and-bulet wiring. Most of this is going back to standard.

This bit though, really takes the biscuit. Look how they have modified the undertray to make the bike look ever so cool with it's little numberplate:

Er that the undertray has a big hole in it. A hole so big you can see the back tyre and thus road grime gets sprayed into the electrics?

It was either seriously cheap, or Pete's yard is to motorcycles what Battersea is to dogs

Luckily, it turns out that intact rear mudguards on hondas of that era aren't easily damaged in crashes so breakers yards have piles of them. I think I was £3 plus £5 postage for a totally intact mudguard. Which gave me a good oppertunity to tidy up the wiring to the back end and give the subframe a lick of paint.

It was reasonably well priced. I've been looking for a bike to replace my Bandit as a work hack and it came up on Gumtree. I went to look at it and though it seems fundamentally sound it's been savaged in a minor scale by a moron in the name of poor taste. I've bought a used undertray of eBay for £25 and some mirrors. Got to get some real indicators and I'll be nearly back to normal.

Here it is. £600 I don't think it was a bad deal.

I bastardised the Bandit one like that to fit an aftermarket undertray to it.

Perhaps he's tried that?

If you need any parts/panels. Give the hairy breakers a call and tell them chris sent you. They should have everything you could possibly need as I sold them a really tidy 100% standard one in the same colours.

I must already have your mirrors then. They need a lick of paint but at least I'll be able to see what I just overtook.
