Hi all
having decided that I am not responsible enough to continue riding my tl100s....and that my riding style has changed.
I am looking at the MT07 the cage version and I realise that the cage is only a cosmetic change to the basic 07, but I would love to know current owners feeling on the MT07

cheers

kev

A question for all to read and bear in mind when responding to your post.

The MT-07 is set from new (on yamaha's website) at £5,349.00 (that's assuming you're buying it new).

My question being are you open to offers and suggestions of bikes of a similar style, speed bracket, cost etc?

Or you after strictly reviews/opinions only on the MT-07?

hi m8ty

the cage is 6200 and I like the size and weight and of course it should be cheaper to run...but no it is not set in stone....I did like the street triple RX but at 8 k it is too dear. I don't like the ER. but other than that Smile

More of a General Bike Chat sort of issue.

I'd want to be sure that they've fixed the fuelling coming off idle before I'd put down a penny on an MT. And I mean be sure, not be assured.

it is interesting the fuel point, I asked about recalls and he told me the 09 had had a recall on a ECU issue but did not mention the 07 ?
have you any thing I can quote as I am going for a test run soon

My meaning is that I wouldn't even mention it to the dealer. Of course they're going to tell you that it's been fixed / never happened. I'd try it on the road and see.

All new bikes made as of now I assume.

All yamaha dealers offering the ECU reflash for free as a yamaha directive. I'll be getting it done on the first service, it's nowhere near as bad as people say, but it's there.
