Hey guys,

I've been out and about this morning, when I came home I noticed a form of liquid on one of the brackets no I've gone to ssmell it to see if it's petrol which it isnt, its clear, it could be water, however my bike has been convered lately and no water has got to it (as far as I know) just wondering if it could be something else... I'm probably just being retarded right now.

Cheers

I would think it's just water which has pooled somewhere and then dribbled out when you've braked or accelerated sharply. I'd take the seat/rear section off to see if there's a puddle. might not be an issue but if it's leaking and pooling somewhere it might be getting near the wiring loom

I'm always extra wary of anything that can drip upwards. Take care.

Agreed, flux capacitors need specialist attention when they leak.

Any chance of a pic from a bit further back (and the right way up), could be anything, although it doesn't look like water staining.

(Throw that disc holder away - unless it has a car park permit in it - it's no longer required)

EDIT: chain lube?

Is the exhaust properly sealed where the silencer joins it? Looks like a oily substance.

I couldn't find anything when I took the seat off so I kind balanced iton a 45 degree angle keeping hold of it and let a few drops come out and turns out it was petrol... I could smell this time as it was a lot stronger.
The bike started first time no problems and all electrics are all in working order, the battery is located just abov the bracket on the other side.
I've put everything away now and covered the bike up as it started raining a bit.
To be honest I don't know why I still have the disc holder Smile

I've seen it far too many times.

Sponge seat... hole in seat cover... absorbs water

sit on the seat and water drips out, and looks like a mystery leak.

Just wipe it off and check if it appears again.

Your bike is crying because of the lack of attention you give it.
