Three months into Britain’s first UKIP government, pubs are again filled with cigarette smoke, border guards are forcibly repatriating illegal immigrants, and the streets are filled with violent protests. Prime Minister Nigel Farage is accused of dividing the nation with his “racist” policies.

Tomorrow nioght (Monday 16th) at 9pm on Channel 4. Hitting 4OD and torrent sites shortly after it's aired.

This sounds like it could be quite good!! Laughing

Didn't UKIP get quite huge chunk of votes in a lot of places recently?

This seems more like desperate propaganda to me.

I wonder if it'll be introduced as a political broadcast before it starts.

The Independent says...

"The docudrama is not required to show balance as it is being shown outside the election period. A drama about the 2010 formation of the coalition will follow soon."

If all this anti UKIP propaganda shows one thing, it's that the other main parties obviously see them as a genuine threat now.

It does seem odd that this can be passed off as a drama rather than a piece of politically biased propaganda though. I can't imagine them doing a similar docudrama about Labour.

Hardly propaganda. I would imagine that this will in no way will alter how any one individual will vote at the next election. All us left eyes will watch it and say 'see what'll happen', and all you righties will watch it and say 'isn't it terrible how Nigel is being vilified', wont alter anything though.

In fact I would imagine (despite the pseudo outrage that will no doubt come from his camp) that Nigel F is probably tugging off in the shower as we speak about the free publicity he is getting.

Have you seen The Deal ? Funnily enough, it is a docudrama about the Labour Party done by Channel 4. There is also Milliband of Brothers - another docudrama about Labour party politicians by Channel 4. Play the victim much ?

As long as its outside of purdah (which I think starts in March sometime), then they have done nothing wrong.

As there's a similar drama-documentary being made about the Tory Lib Dem coalition, I see no reason why making one about Liebore would be a problem.

You can call it bias if you want, but just because you don't agree with the political stance of a tv channel or producers doesn't mean they're biased.

UKIP's entire raison d'etre is victimhood, Farage will be lapping this up.

I quite enjoy watching him getting a thrashing from Myleene Klass.

That "Is this actually happening? I'm debating with a pop tart? Fuck my life." look. His anguish sustains me. Drooling

Not when it's outside the election period.

Are you as equally butthurt when you read any paper and it offers their opinion / stance about anything political?

Yeah but the UKIP meeting was fake and part of the lefty channel 4 drama. Miliband's gaff was for real.

'Biased' Channel 4 is showing this tomorrow however. Can't imagine what party it might go in favour of Whistle

May balance the propaganda scales a bit Wink

I'm sure they have political favouritism's, but I think theres a lot more consistently biased other channels. They seem to of hit a raw nerve with lots of people about this drama for some reason Thinking

I thought it was too badly made to do UKIP any real harm. I spent the whole time watching it wondering if I was actually watching a D grade students GCSE drama coursework.

You assume, it's going to be anti-immigration, the description suggests otherwise, so once again, it'll be slanted to favour Labour.
