I have a stainless exhaust system. I want to paint part of it and I suspect VHT exhaust paint is the stuff to use. What prep work do i need to do to get it to take on stainless steel?

You need an 'etch' primer for painting stainless steel, but most of them do not perform well at high temperatures, like near the engine - but might work at the far end where it is cooler.
