 |
|
I've been trying to get my seat off my '98 ZZR400 for a week now and I cannot figure how to get it off. There's a can of something in there, but it is in Japanese and I'm scared to bust it and try to pull it out. I'm thinking about snapping off the marked piece to try and get to the release lever. I plan on buying new fairings for it anyways so I don't mind hurting the fairings to bad. I just have to get to the fuses to check to see if my headlight is blown or not, also the dash is acting up now so I need to get in there! Any advice anyone?
Pic shows piece I may be able to snap off.

I'm familiar with the ZZR600, looks similar…
Turning the key on mine allows the seat to move backwards slightly and lift off, there are a number of forward facing hooks that lock under metal loops to hold it on.
You'd do better attempting to take side fairings off to get at the latch, although they share the same screw that holds the little plate on you're looking at breaking off. ____________________ Looking to pass your CBT / Bike tests in Bury Lancashire? try www.focusridertraining.co.uk Would recommend.
