Admittely my PC is going on about 4 years old now, but not being able to handle 60fps videos seems a bit embarrassing Neutral

Specs:

AMD Phenom II X6 1055T (2.8GHz, idles at 23c)
8GB RAM
ATI Radeon XFX HD 5830
Windows 7

Is it just YT being dodgy? Since I basically play no games what so ever I really can't be bothered to upgrade, as much as I love PC building.

I should add 720p 60fps is fine, just a shame you don't have the option to use 1080p 30fps. Oh and 1080p 60fps footage taken from my GoPro plays back perfectly too via VLC.

I've had trouble with YouTube lately, I don't get any stuttering but the Flash Player freezes when I try to skip positions on the timeline. I'll try disabling all my add-ons, you might want to do the same.

Could it be that your internet provider is slowing down your

internet speed.

They say unlimited but once you reach a set amount the slow you down.

Good point. My max connection speed is 85Mbps but I never got anywhere near that and my connection kept stuttering. I switched to a cheaper package with a 40Mbps ceiling and still I only get 20Mbps on a good day, and it often drops to less than 3Mbps for long periods, especially if I dare to use torrents. *cough* magnetbay.

Nope, the audio plays ok just the image stutters about, normal 1080 videos play fine. I notice Chrome only seems to use the HMTL5 player now, might be that also. I'm with VM who are pretty solid in my area, 20mbps connection.
