Hi

We wandered down to Big CC Racing yesterday for their dyno day. When we left Stafford it was raining, with the weather perking up a bit on the way down but only really getting to be nice down towards Oxford. By the time we got to Wokingham it was getting hot.

Anyway bumped into a few people and put the bikes on the dyno.

I took the Bimota and that made 117.48hp. Bit lower than I expected and the dyno curve is a pretty rough. Might need some fiddling to sort it out.

Charlotte rode the Bandit down and it made 145.8hp. This is about what I expected. Previously it made 153.6hp but that was on a far cooler day. The curve was also nice and smooth on the Bandit.

All the best

Keith

Last time I had my bike dynoed, it made 80bhp at the rear wheel! Shocked

The first dyno curve was pretty pitiful to say the least:

Well, at the BigCC day, I removed both baffles, and here is the result! :

Somewhat better!

112.56bhp baby! Cool

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

I also went down there, first ever time an the dyno & thought it would be nice to get near 100.
Also never knew if my bike was dyno'd after the twin cans were fitted.

Got 102, result !!

Although it got a bit lumpy at the top and even popped a little on one run.

Plans for a K&N and a dyno setup are coming.

Had a great day, took the wife and kids, apart from the maniac on the gixxer streetfighter doing a huge rolling burnout and loosing it towards a load of people and about 20 bikes (mine was one of the closest!!) it was good.

I popped in there during the week when I was on duty and had a a bit of quiet time.
The guys took me out the back and showed me the bikes they were working on. There was a brand new ZX10R on the bench the owner was having a turbo fitted to!
Couldn't make it on the day as I have been at a wedding all weekend.

We went too, it was nice meeting some of you guys!

Didnt see the burnout but we did see a burnout mini moto with its back end missing and was still being ridden, what a waste of a mini moto!

Was very hot though and in the end the kids had enough of the sun, but an enjoyable day all the same.
