anyone know what size valve spring compressor I need to remove the valves from a CG125 head?

Hmm I seem to remember using a big g clamp to do this, and a bit of bent scrap metal.

I'd say about a 14mm socket.... bit of cloth and hammer should about do it.

Or if you want to be fancy, 14mm socket, magnet and mole grips, same for refitting (without the magnet of course)

do your self a favour and buy the bona fide item..
as clever as it looks to save however much you can by usin a G cramp the correct tool will make life a lot easier.

I modified a standard adjustable valve spring compressor by utilising a scrap length of old Renthal handlebar tube.I originally used this method for use on my Exup1000 but found it just as useful on a friends XR250 cylinder head

I've done the "socket removal" method on a morris minor head, but can't work out how you could easily refit using that method...
