Hi Peeps,

Just fitted some hel race setup front brake lines to my zx6r, i must of caught one of the lines on something sharp as it has made a liitle cut in the plastic covering of the brake line (i have brought them in kawa lime green) is this gonna be a problem or is the outer cover for decoration only?
Anything i can do to remedy this if it is a problem?
Brakes are bloody amazing now, hardly any travel in the lever! I think it still had the original brake lines on! and they were flexing like a biatch!

What part of the cable is the cut at? The line cover might be for preventing scratches on parts the cable rubs

Its hel performance race setup, i guess its braided as it looks metal underneath the plastic lol...
Is it nessisery to go mad with the cable ties or is it ok fairly loose aslong as its not catching?

Id just leave it or put a bit of tape over it. A nip in the pvc outer cover on a ss braided line aint going to cause any harm.

Hi

The shrink wrap is there for tart reasons, and to protect other bits from being damaged by the braided steel rubbing away at it.

Should be fine with a bit of damage to the shrink wrap.

This is what happens when the braided lines are not routed to prevent them rubbing.

All the best

Keith
