i am now offically confused about the bloody licence restrictions. what is the bhp if the derestricted nsr125? can u ride it with a cbt? does insurance go down if u have a full licence? is it worth it? how much dows it cost to take a restricted licence? how old do u have to be? what cc can u ride on it?
i think that covers it all! Confused Crying or Very sad Confused Crying or Very sad Confused

Hi

Not sure of the power of a derestricted NSR, but it is well over the 15hp you are allowed as a learner having passed your cbt. Pass the normal test and you can legally ride it derestricted (limit is 33hp, and the NSR will be short of that)

All the best

Keith

Hi, i have read somewhere that the crank bhp for an unrestriced NSR is 28bhp, which is similar to many other comparable 125's. This is for a bike with a de restriced exhaust, and so a perf pipe like Arrow or Giannelli might increase that further. I think that both the Mito and the RS125 have slightly more power, depending on the exact specification(RS125SP claimed 36bhp), but then again they arnt so reliable are they?
I have found a listing of some 125's on the net, and for rear wheel bhp the highest shown is for a Husqvarna WRE125 with 31.68@11200, But then again im not surprised as its reported to be just a road legal Crosser.
