printing labels with sequencial numbers

Long shot this but....

i need a way to print labels (to a label printer - Zebra LP2844) that you will be able to enter into a template 1 of 22 etc

an as each label is printed it will have 1 of 22, 2 of 22 and 3 of 22.....

if that makes sense??

any ideas?

could use Excel to do it
use 2 cells one for the abcxyz thats fixed then a cell for the number which you can just drag and it will increment for you

What you're trying to do is known as a 'mail merge' in word, this should help:

Search for mail merge and whatever software you use if you don't want to use word.

No need to generate 22 files just because you want 22 labels...
