After years of having some useless bits of plastic attached to my knees i finally managed to get my knee down!

I'm well chuffed as i'm on a supermoto that is a hell of a lot taller than a normal bike!

(let the praise commence!)

What motard have you got mate?

Out of interest, do you ride around sportsbike styley with knee out etc, or foot out and just playing at knee down for a laugh?

I only ask, because on the motard it's foot out for me all the time, pegs pretty much go down easily, but at Lydd I was following a KTM LC4 and he was going around the SM track with his knee down!? Shocked Laughing Just can't see how it's comfortable to do that on a motard.

Well done though Thumbs Up

Normally feet on the pegs with the pegs down. I mess about the the leg out sometimes, but only if i'm really throwing it around or showing off.

The knee down was only because its for show and thought i must be able to get my knee down if im to the edge of the tyre and the pegs down.

I used to get my pegs down on my old supercity quite a lot, they just have so much grip and are light.

Great fun Thumbs Up .

Yeah, stick yer leg out and lay the fecker down with the bars at opposite lock.

The proper place for your knee on that bike is in your armpit Mr. Green .

We experimented with this at Elvington last year. Cars lean out the way on corners, not in the way.

G did get his knee down in the 306 though. Cool

Most people I speak to who have managed to get their knee down, can not understand why it was an issue in the first place. Is this true, that once you have done it, you can do it any where you want?

I've done it on a roundabout, but I haven't done it anywhere else since.

You see, I'm short and inflexible. Getting into the position required for me to get my knee down takes a bit of squirming and shufting about. At Snetterton on Monday I was scraping the pegs so was actually leaning the bike a tad further than knee down (which didn't scrape once I'd sorted the position out) but I didn't get my knee down cos there wasn't sufficient time to get into the right position between the previous corner and the potential knee-down one. I need to practice that.

So in my case, no, I couldn't just do it anywhere. Smile
