The BBC, spending almost 90% of it's newspaper recruitment advertising in the Gurnaid, obviously keeps this story unbiased! ____________________ TZR250 2MA road, TZR250 1KT road, TZR250 2MA race, TDR250, YZF-750R Boost colours.

Not absolutely everything is a left wing conspiracy you know..
Oh, and its 'Grauniad', for some reason seeing you spelling it incorrectly constantly irks me more than it should... Its almost as though you don't get the joke...
EDIT: And I know you don't agree, but isn't it a good thing to have an establishment that is not reliant on the whims of advertisers for funding ? ____________________ "I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me." Hunter S Thompson

I was listening to some of that on the radio.
The Chairwoman did herself no favours. At one point she resorted to hypersonic shrieking at and harrangueing of one of the people she was questioning in a highly irritiating and petulant Janet Street-Porter fashion.
If it were me and someone started whining and skirling at me like that. I would excuse myself and leave, telling them I'd come back in 20 minutes when they'd calmed down and felt able to ask me specific questions in a calm and rational tone of voice.
Yes, even if it was the chair of a parliamentary select comittee. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”

WTF has, supposed, BBC bias got to do with what is reported in the link I posted, FFS?
What Mr Gulliver said, in front of a parliamentary special comittee, is not up for debate, it is a matter of record, FFS! There is no biased reporting, no spin, no editorial policy, that is what was said, jeez he was on the radio saying it, that's where I heard him saying it, before I read the article!
Mr Gulliver is claiming "media innuendo" is harming his bank!
This is the very same bank that threatened two national, broadsheet newspapers, with the removal of advertising revenue if they printed negative stuff about HSBC!
For the record, the Telegraph succumbed to the demands only relenting after a week, when it printed a tiny, one paragraph, non commital article!
If you can get over your own, obvious, bias, here is the article Peter Oborne wrote about his reasons for resigning from the Telegraph.
That's Peter Oborne of the TELEGRAPH, FFS, not one of those lefty, pinko, fags, you seem to fantasise about!
https://www.opendemocracy.net/ourkingdom/peter-oborne/why-i-have-resigned-from-telegraph
Here's a gift, you can use it when you get down off that high horse you're sitting on!

For anyone interested in the shenanagans at the Telegraph, how HSBC used their muscle to influence editirial content and why Peter Oborne resigned, have a Listen to R4's "The Report", from earlier this evening.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b055jslq
The weasel worded statement, from the Telegraph, (they refused to take part in the program), towards the end of the program says it all! ____________________ "Everybody needs money, that's why they call it money!" |
