hello all
i have recently got a brand new yamaha aerox and i am a bit stuck. i got fed up with going 33mph so i decided to derestrict it. the way i did this cut off the pipe that is welded shut that came out of the exaust and sealed it shut. this worked but only brought the speed up to 40mph - aceleration was doubled!. i have 2 mates with aerox's and they are both fully derestricted and will hit 60mph.

does anyone know exactly how to further derestrict the aerox?

thanks for any replies

Might well be worth asking those mates who have ones which are fully derestricted. They might not know, but at least you are able to poke bits on your ped and compare them to theirs.

I'd reckon it would be a restrictor type plate thing in the carbs. Thumbs Up

When we done my mates aerox there was a cone at the top of the exhaust down pipe (different from the one in pic above), the resonant pipe going no where as shown in the pic and a washer in the variator also shown in the pics above.

May be easier just to remove the washer in the variator and get a decent performance exhaust. Check out www.taffspeed.co.uk .
