Just picked up one of these thingies

https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/cameras/digital-camcorders/digital-camcorders/action-camcorders/gopro-hero-action-camcorder-10075719-pdt.html#cat-0

to replace my e-bay special bullet cam with a knackered battery.

Brief spec :-
5M Pixel
Full HD 1920x1080p
60fps @ 720p
Waterproof to 40m
Shockproof
Freezeproof
Video, photo, burst & timelapse modes

Seems to be a nice little bit of kit, sturdy enough for what I am going to use it for.

Good enough picture quality for me as I am not planning any kind of VLog or track day Youtube clips.

Only downside I can see at the moment is that it comes with sticky pad mounting for flat or curved only, whereas I have a barend clamp mount with a standard camera screw fit mounting (from said old camera)

Easy fix, 4mm steel plate, cut and filed to size and shape, hole drilled, tapped out to correct thread, flat, sticky mounting stuck on and all good.

From first images, not too bad, might double up on cameras on the way home tonight and upload comparisons tomorrow to see what you think.

Then again, for under £110 (including uSD card) no great shakes if it is not up to expert scrutiny, as long as it captures the important bits

Hmm no removable battery Thinking essentially making it a throw away camera when the battery wont hold a charge, would have went for a contour or drift, dedicated helmet camera's.

It is the cheapest known brand action camera's though so if it works for you, any test footage?

I bought one of these as a groupon deal so got it for £70, bargain of the year so far. i like the sheer volume of accessories for the Go Pro's.

Is that mounted on the bar end?

Would like to see some sunny day footage. Please arrange for some nice weather.

Right hand bar end mount yes.

I'll put an order in for some sunny weather later, not sure if they have any in stock that is compatible with Wales though
