ZZR starter button issues

If my bike's been sat for a little while it occasionally doesn't respond to the starter button being pressed but if I push downwards while pressing it then everything works fine.

Once started, if I turn the bike off and re-start to see if it'll do it again it behaves itself.

Just a bit of a dodgy connection?

Mine did similar. Eventually the kill switch died. Tried bypassing with wire but resistor in ignition barrel so wouldn't read right to cdi. Bike wouldn't start. Have to cut and join wires directly.
