Fitting Aldi Tank Bag to 2001 Hornet

I bought one of the tank bags from Aldi this week and have a trip from Bristol to Brighton planned tomorrow and I am wondering how I fit it.

It's magnetic, but also has some straps and would rather not risk it flying off on some of the NSL Dual Carriageways.

How do I fit the straps around the tank?

Pitchers of straps? Can you loop them round the frame under the tank? If not, use bungees

There is a strap that can go around the bars, there just isn't much room for me to get them under the tank.

Might have to use a coat hanger to hook it under, but is that safe to do with all the bits that go under the tank?

Total n00b question I know...

I've used magnetic tank bags and not had any risk of it flying off the bike with just the magnets.

I've had mine for over a week now, and only use the magnet plus safety strap around bars as a failsafe.
Hasn't even budge but I only ride up to 55 on my ybr

Clean the bag surface scrupulously to get any metallic scrap off it, magnets on, strap around the headstock if you want to be for double-sure, and you're good to go.

Mine have never budged at all on 5 different bikes, and I eventually stopped bothering with the headstock. I've only had to use the side-straps (along with the headstock strap) on the plastic 'tanked' Beemer.

Ah, it has straps like Rok-Straps.

Can you take the seat off? And are their any exposed frame tubes you can use?

Could put the two back straps to a tube under the seat and pop it back on if it'll fit

Don't fit the straps. It makes it REALLY fucking annoying when you go to fill up with fuel.

You won't need any more than the magnets to keep it in place.

What Rogerborg and Monkeypony said, I have cheap aldi or lidl bag, has never moved, straps are a nuisance.

I've used a magnetic oxford tank pad from Birmingham to Moffat Scotland down the motorway (250miles-ish each way) averaging over 100 and it never came off... You'll be fine
