Carbon fibre repairs

When i bought the bike a thought the hugger was your usual imitation carbon fibre, didn't notice until i got it home that in fact its actual fibrage.
It has a bit of damage, can these be repaired or would i be just as well replacing it?
If its likely to cost a pretty penny id rather just replace it.

You could by a sheet of carbon fiber veneer and just glue it over the top, reinforcing it and getting the clean visuals back.

Or!!!!!!!!put three strips of led lights down the centre and bodge the curve out of the material.....Anyone looking at it will be so captivated by the lights they won't notice the carbon material bodge!

The led's are tempting however il probably just replace it then, its looks ok when its on the bike, it just bugs me as the rest of the bike is pretty clean.
