Hello everyone I'm new to the site and I'm hoping someone can help me.
I have just bought a hyosung cruise 2 for very little money but it has a few problems. The most annoying of which is that it is incredibly slow. The bloke I bought it off had just replaced the carb as the old one was leaking and didn't replace it with an original carb. He said that before he replaced it the bike would go about 65mph but now it struggles to do 40 on a level surface. I've adjusted the idle and the mixture screws but it doesn't make a difference. Could there be a problem with the size of the jets or something? Also the bike makes a popping noise when you release the throttle when its going downhill which someone said it means its running lean. If anyone could help me I would be extremely grateful. Thanks![/img]

They're right.

You could try upjetting it. Was it just a scabby carb lying in a breakers yard that was put on it?

It was a brand new carb, pretty basic with the choke actually on the carb rather than on the handlebar which its meant to be on this bike.
